Is hosting really free, or is there a catch?
It's genuinely free as part of a site built here, since Cloudflare Pages doesn't charge for hosting sites like this. The only cost is your domain registration, typically under £15 a year, paid directly to a registrar rather than through me.
Can you host a site you didn't build?
In some cases, depending on how the current site is built. Get in touch with details of your setup and I'll give you an honest answer about whether it's a good fit for Cloudflare hosting.
What happens if I want to move away in future?
You can, at any point. You own the domain and the code, so there's no lock in and no need to ask permission to move elsewhere.
Will moving hosting cause any downtime?
The aim is none. The new setup is tested and confirmed working before the domain is pointed across, and the old hosting stays available as a fallback until everything is confirmed stable.
Do I need technical knowledge to manage the site afterwards?
Not for basic content changes if the site is hand coded with clear structure. For anything more involved, ongoing support is available, or your own developer can pick it up using the handover documentation.
